On October 15, 2026, Dr. Robert Rohrbaugh, Associate Dean for Global Health Education at Yale School of Medicine, and Dr. Evelyn Hsieh, Associate Professor of Medicine, visited Peking Union Medical College (PUMC). Dr. Pan Hui, Vice President of PUMC, met with the delegation.

Vice President Pan Hui extended a warm welcome to the Yale delegation and reviewed the development of medical education at PUMC. He noted that PUMC and Yale University have maintained close ties and have carried out sustained cooperation in personnel exchange and academic development. He expressed the hope that the two institutions would further deepen their strategic partnership, expand cooperation in medical education, faculty development, and student exchange, and jointly cultivate medical professionals with a global perspective, thereby contributing to the advancement of health and global health.

Dr. Rohrbaugh spoke highly of the strong foundation and achievements of the longstanding cooperation between the two institutions. He noted that Yale School of Medicine highly values its partnership with PUMC. He expressed the hope that both institutions would build on their respective strengths and explore collaboration in global health, working together to cultivate medical professionals with a global perspective and to address shared global health challenges.
