Marina Pollán Santamaría, Generaldirector of the Institute of Health Carlos III (ISCIII) in Spain, led a delegation on a visit to CAMSPUMC on Sept 17,2026. Wu Chen, Vice president of CAMS PUMC, met with the delegation.

Vice President Wu Chen reviewed the history of CAMS PUMC and highlighted its strengths in medical education and research. She noted that ISCIII is Spain’s leading national public health research institution and the key institution supporting and coordinating biomedical and health sciencesresearch in Spain. She expressed hope that the two institutions would strengthen research cooperation and academic exchanges, and contribute to the development of the medical and health sectors in both countries.

MarinaPollán Santamaría spoke highly of CAMS PUMC's achievements in scientific research and talent development. She gave an overview of ISCIII and expressed her willingness to strengthen exchanges and explore diverse forms of cooperation in talent development and research collaboration.

The meeting was attended by officials from the Institute of Health Carlos III (ISCIII) and the Embassy of Spain in China, along with representatives from CAMS PUMC’s Office of International Affairs and Institute of Healthy Aging.
